We have a unique situation at the Devil's Panties forums and EVERYONE IS INVITED!!

Crazeyal has challenged TNT to a ROLEPLAY ARENA CHALLENGE!!

What this is, is a best of three contest of writing and roleplaying skill. Both challengers write a roleplay in which they KILL EACH OTHER. The audience will predetermine the setting, weapons, and type of death. The judges get to decide who goes first in round 1. After the first challenger writes and posts his roleplay, the second contestant has 1 day to reply. He must explain away his own death and then use the same situations to kill his opponent.

There will be three judges. One appointed by each contestant, and a third agreed on by both.

The stories will be rated on a 1 - 10 scale with ratings in originality, writing skill, and extra points available for award for:

Selling the other roleplay
Each designated weapon used
Exceptional writing of the opponent's character
1 discretionary point per judge

The stage is ready.
The contestants are set.

Note: The Judges do not have to pick one person's entire idea. If they choose to do so, they can take one from any or all. There will only be one setting 3 weapons and one condition of death.

Im neutral since I hate you both so VERY much :P and I have a trophy from doing Improv. Im ridiculously qualified to judge someones ability to explain away their own death since the rules of competitive improv state that you cannot deny something happened, but you MUST leave things ambiguous enough so that you do not dominate or control the other charachter.

But hey I've been imposing self moderation and punishment for a week so Im not surprised. ANYWAYS. This should be interesting and Ill be thinking up weapons for a while.

You judge the contest. Both people write a roleplay and kill the other player with the prescribed weapons, in the preset scenario, at the predetermined location. You give it 1 - 10 points for originality, writing style and bonus points for using the weapons/writing the foe's character accurately (EG not just writing "Derr I suxx ARGH!! I DIE!!" for your opponents lines) and 1 point for anything you choose to like or dislike (yes you can take a point away for something you hate)

Weapons: This will be an endurance challenge, with each contestant having to make their way through the crowds of college football fans with a case of Coors while screaming "Dale Earnhardt Was a cross dressing pussy!"
Death will come sooner or later.

That's up to the judges. When they think they've gotten enough suggestions, they pick the settings and who is going first. I'd suggest making me go first, because TNT hasn't done this before. But it's just a suggestion. You have one day to complete the post, if RL gets in the way, you can ask for an extension. Since I'm on here 24/7 and TNT has no life :P I don't think it will be a problem.

So far I'm liking my hedge maze suggestion as a setting. But I'm looking for someone to suggest some more creative weapons.

I was kinda curious as to how creative you guys could get with "death by turtle", but after talking with Farler about that, I'm thinking no. I'm liking the interesting biological deaths (if that's even the right word). Al's "hardening of the artieries" or Farler's "hemophelic blood loss"... something along those lines.

Are we giving one overall 1-10 score based on the criteria mentioned? or does each criteria get it's own 1-10 score?

Way cool for the opening, TNT will have a tough time matching that.

It's an overall 1-10. You are supposed to come up with a score between 1-10 and base it on those the criteria. You can give a full 10 points on origionality but take points 5 points away for not selling the other person's character. Each weapon used should be 1 point, but do it however. However bad or good you think the aspect was. 10 is the max. You get one point to use however you want. So the max score is 11. So it's actually possible to be win twice and still tie or lose the contest. If that happens we put up a poll.

As far as the whole "Lock on the pants" thing. That was preventing him from taking them off, not preventing him from having an open fly.

You must explain away your own death, which shouldn't be too hard considering how you died was left ambiguous enough by al which should ideally earn him a point for not truly god modding and then using the same arena, weapons and method of demise kill him.

At least that is what the explanation at the start meant to MY understanding. Either way whoever goes first is always the one who TRULY dies BUT it's not about who actually died it's about who wrote the best.

Of course there's also the bonus of since al went first and so will also go first in the last round you get to deny him your TRUE death twice while killing him soundly twice.

Just in case someone doesn't understand... TNT has to use the same weapons, setting and cause of death in his reply roleplay.

In the reply roleplay you have to explain away your death, most preferably selling the previous roleplay and continuing it. The contestant then makes an account where they win the fight. Alternately you can re-tell the same story from your own perspective and show how the first contestant was mistaken/misled/lying/on drugs.. However you want to tell it.


The NEXT round is a differant scenario.

The whole point was this is a skill you've been shown to be inexperienced (as a nice way of putting it) By putting you in a situation where you MUST expand on your ability to explain something away rather then simply DENY it or face humiliation and loss, we had hoped that you would become a better role player. And all around more fun.

NO. You explain that Al DIDN'T kill you when he deboned you. SOMEHOW you sruvive and then get revenge on him. You have to start where he left off, given that you fell in a pillow factory and supposedly died of losing a minor organ. He pretty much gave you a gift for your first time.

Yeah.. what Farler said. You ever see those old 40's serials? Where you come back next week and they add a scene where the good guy dives out of the truck that WASN'T there last week? Something like that.

You could explain that you had a hotdog you were saving for later. You could start the roleplay off with you ringing my phone and saying "You should have checked the body.. Now you have to come back.. AND I'VE HAD TIME TO PREPARE!!" .. and then send me through a parody of "Home Alone". The idea is to one-up me and tell a good story. The person who's roleplay is best is considered the winner, but it all comes back to normal next round.
