Hello everyone, newbie here! Yes, I admit it. :P
I'm new to the forums, and also knew to LARPing. I've had friends really into it before, but I think the groups they were in around Birmingham are in the wind.
I'm really interested in finding a group to join up with, but preferably within a couple hours drive of B'ham. I'd really love to join up with Solar, especially after reading through Geebas on Parade, but it's like a 5 or 6 hour drive from me so that just doesn't work. :)
I don't know if anybody on here is from this area or knows of any LARPs here, but maybe!

Cerroneth is SOLAR(independently-owned campaign now, and has been for a few years now), and slightly closer...3 3/4-5 hours depending on the site. They play in Mississippi. Not sure about anything closer than that, though...

Thanks for the info...I checked them out, they're around Hattiesburg, that's about 4 1/2 hours so about the same distance but I'll put them on my list of possibles. :)

For what it's worth, the 5-6 hour drive is TOTALLY worth it for Clanthia: Solar. I made anywhere from a 3 hour to a 6 hour trip every month for the first three years I played.
