And that once was enough to make me want to do it again.:D
Some of the things I remember...
A group of fighters doing the Haka when confronted by an overwhelming array of monsters. (They got creamed anyway)
A pair of not entirely sane ladies singing the entry music of the old WWF tag team Demolition.
(When I was reading the Geebas on Parade webcomic, Every time Jennie was headed out to slay some people/things I imagined "The Game" by Motorhead playing in the background)
And that when all was said and done, that I'd had one hell of a good time.

Get the right group, and LARPing is an awesome way to spend your time.
Even old broken guys like me still have fun with it

The trouble is finding a group out here in the howling wilderness.
Oh well, I have been wanting to move out of this burg anyway.
After all, I can do my writing anywhere.
I just might end up on the East coast. I considered the West coast, but I have been through enough earthquakes to last me a lifetime thank you very much.
At least back East I won't have to worry about my home suddenly relocating to the ocean floor.:D

Yes, but the odds are significantly better of the ocean relocating your home further ashore.

At least I wouldn't need scuba gear to find it! :D

hey da, truly in the wastelands, or closer to omaha? there's a group that i used to belong to that would meet every sunday at a park in council bluffs, havn't seen them in a couple years since i started driving trucks, but might wanna look em up, twas the kingdom of d'enes, dunno if they have any sort of site or not, and VERY loose combat rules since they require you buy into their insurance plan at membership(full frontal kicking of woden and steel/alluminum shields comes to mind) but was a great bunch of folks and teh alcohol is NOT fake along with the swords=)

I'm truly in the wastelands. A little town called Scottsbluff as a matter of fact.
Just about as far away from Omaha as you can get and still be in Nebraska.
For some reason I doubt Omaha would be a good idea for me..
Last time I lived there, (1977) I was involved in a little dispute with the local fuzz that left 5 of them on the binnacle list and me with a judge saying "It's the Navy or jail...":dgrin:
Oh, and the DA stands for David Allan Feel free to call me Dave.
