Well, we needed a piratey topic here and I'm a gamer. Shortly, I'm going to try and post one of my old D6 Star Wars characters, a pirate named Resh Kaska. You RPGers out there got pirate PCs and NPCs?

Gotta be pen & paper, that way anybody that has the same game as the person who posts can use the character in their own games.

Once had a Swashbuckler/Favored Soul of Valkur NPC named Irassa who was a lot of fun to write for...annoyed the living hell out of the cleric she wound up working with, and as the heroes were working on proving themselves on their first test, she was sitting behind 'em, invisible, noisily munching on popcorn.
One of these days I'm gonna have to try playing her as a PC, in a sort of "what happened before she got drafted by the Cap'n" type deal.
Had a bounty hunter in the old D6 style Star Wars ... she kicked ass!
And probably the closest to a pirate character I ever had. Unfortunately only played 7th Sea for a couple sessions. :(

What games do you currently own? Can you build a pirate with those? Hell, find the oldest game you've got and build a pirate with THAT, even if the game normally doesn't have pirates. :D
*Is still digging for Resh Kaska... haven't found him yet.*

Never had a specifically pirate charecter that I recall... but numerous charecters that engaged in piracy of various forms.
One of the favorate was also a D6 (later translated to D20) Star Wars charecter. Three foot lizard tech with a blaster cannon and an inferority complex.
Being a lizard, and thus lacking lips, was unable to properly speak Basic, but did have a voice modulator, with a few key phrases pre-programed in.
"You broke it, YOU fix it."
"Not my department, talk to the Captain."
"Hold your fire, we come in peace."
"Just kidding. Smoke 'em!"
"This misunderstanding was not caused by a lack of intelligence on MY part."
Our captain was an anti-social psyic, first mate a Squib (giant squirrel) with a caffinee addiction and a speech impediment, security officer a jaded Secret Service agent with a gun fetish, and had a nanny droid with multipule personalities.
Our ship was a modified transport named 'The Flaming Buttwipe'
I fit in perfectly....

Bastet Privateer Captain (pale lupine-based) - wise-ass, extremely skilled fighter, had a tendency to strike fear (or delirium) into opponents by shifting in the middle of battle. Bit the heads off pirates ala Pan's Labyrinth...well, not literally, but she might have if she'd thought of it. ;) Her ship was named Kali's Tears. Yeah...despite the excellent sense of humor and impeccable manners, people didn't really like what happened if they messed with her. And her crew was scary too...the navigator was a Selkie.
Arcadian Archer (7th Seas) - Had sidhe heritage, so was sort of spooky (even to party members), killer with a bow, also had magical heritage. Walking behind one obscuring thing and out from behind another in an instant was especially fun. Haven't gotten to play her as much as I'd like because the GM doesn't want to run the game that often. :(

I figured I would let you guys know that we are seriously considering developing an RPG game out of Sky Pirates. Part of the prize if we win is a flash game, but we are also considering other typoes of games as well.
More to come.....
