Guys,

I have uploaded two files to a music hosting site, and I hope that you will enjoy them. I am a little unsure about these two songs. The performance is not really very good. We booked a day in the studio, and we had a little time in the studio at the end of it. I decided to include put two pieces down that are a little "filky". I need to let you know that I am actually a lot better than the poor performances on these two tracks. I was exhausted, overworked, and my voice was burned and raspy.

The first track has a reference to a particularly grisly murder. A woman named Kitty Genovese was stabbed several times by an attacker who lost his nerve and ran off a couple of time, but who stole her purse (with her housekeys) on the first attack. He kept getting his nerve back and coming back to stab her again, and while thirty eight people were aware that somebody needed help, no person came to help her. The attacker eventually let himself into her home, and raped and murdered her there.

I wrote a song about it. I am sorry to be so heavy.

That's the first track.

The second track is MacPhereson's Lament, a traditional Scottish folk song.

I know that there are probably much better musicians than I on this site, but I have to actually present you with some music, or calling myself a musician is stupid.

thanks.

I need to make sure that the links work now, as I am not sure that I did this right. I am not very good with computer stuff.

And this one is Macphereson's Lament.

I am afraid that you have to download them to your computer to play them, and I am not in control of the hosting site.

I know I can't d/l them here, but thinking it's more people are *busy* at the moment...Heck, we've had newcomers go basically unpounced!
