out of all the made-for-tv comic book movies out there, its still a toss up between that and the shit the pulled for Witchblade.

At least with Witchblade they could go the whole ... "Just one of the incarnations of the Bladewielder."
Though there are two "Made-for-TV" Marvel shitstorms which can trump Nick Fury.
The 70s Captain America movies --- Where Steve Rogers DAD was the one who created the Super Soldier Serum, and the shield was the detachable windshield of his motorcycle.

Out of all of the upcoming tortures Marvel is planning on inflicting us, the one that makes me cry the most is friggin DEATHLOK. I had HOPED that died and went to the movie graveyard when I read the premise they were using.
It's basically TETSUO (http://imdb.com/title/tt0096251/) with a mix of "Ohnoez! The ubersecretmilitarygroup is after me!"
I cried. ALmost as much as I am crying over Rob Zombie raping HALLOWEEN.
Bobby Cummings, just because you're a fan of horror movies doesn't mean you can make them. I mean C'mon! You were fired from one of the Crow sequels because they thought your script sucked. The CROW fuckheads thought your script sucked! That should tell you something.

i'm actually looking foreward to rob zombies halloween..... halloween itself always bored the ever living hell out of me and maybe his brand of "overload them on carnage and tease em with my barely clothed wife!" will make it atleast watchable. micheal myers just... lacks personality to like about him. he wants to kill his sister... thats it. freddy krueger was an evil horrid child killer, you WANT to see them kick his ass in the end, plus hes a dream killer, so hes got all kindsa creative going there. jason voorhees (and mum) were out for revenge over his mistreatment and neglect by stupid selfish teenagers, so i can't honestly say i was rooting for the kids with that one, so the gore and mayhem were much appreciated.

Already knew about Wolverine...Hugh Jackman and a buddy of his were working on it when X-Men 3 was on its way to theaters. Not terribly surprised about the Hulk sequel, actually watched the Hasselhoff Nick Fury thing(bleh)...

With that attitude, you'd probably say the early 80's remake of CAT PEOPLE was better than the original. And then I'd have to spank you until your frontside was as bruised as your backside.
Horror movie sequels suck. FULL STOP. End of discussion.
Nightmare on Elm Street = GREAT HORROR MOVIE
the sequels? One really terrible sequel which everyone tries to forget and a bunch of other sequels which aren't horror movies anymore. They're action films where the bad guy is the "hero" with the one liners.
Friday the Thirteenth = Great splatter movie
the sequels? kept getting exponentionally worse with each one ... culminating with Jason X
Hellraiser = Great fetish/gore/scary movie
the sequels from three on? Fell into the Freddy trap with Pinhead being more of a one-liner antihero than an actual monster
...
The only thing worse than a horror movie sequel is a REMAKE of a horror movie. Especially any of the ones done since ... oh say ... '98 when the remakes started coming out of the woodworks.
The original Halloween was scary BECAUSE of Michael's lack of personality or motivation. He had no reason to become a killing machine. Something just went wrong with his nut. He was an everyday kid who just went ... evil.
I'm sure Rob Zombie will give a backstory where the kid was raped by his daddy or made to blow the family dog in order to give a reason for Michael to go off the rocker. And ... knowing Zombie ... he'll be graphic about it.
Ole Bobby makes decent music and lacklustre music videos. He makes TERRIBLE movies and should realy stop while he's behind.

i kinda like rob zombie's stuff. then again i'm a big fan of the "movie time is relax time so just DON'T MAKE ME THINK!" and if i'm in the mood for horror i don't want convoluted mystery excuses for WHY the evil is the evil. if it must have an excuse it has to be obvious. if it must be a killer i want to not wonder if there was any hope of survival. i want to know the victims are dead. the villian is evil (though yes i love the cheesy single lines) and i want enough gore and blood i'm afeared of my feet squishing when i get up.

The orginal Halloween was scary, the imediate sequel was fine, as was basicly just the second half of the movie. Then came the 'It has the same name, and is still a horror movie, but otherwise has nothing to do with the first two movies!' ...things just went downhill from there.
It is true that 99% of horror movie sequels suck. This has nothing to do with them being horror movies, 99% of all sequels suck.

I'll take a comic book adaptation movie over a book adaptation any day of the week. At least with a comic you have enough different continuities to justify not staying precisely on the plot line we are all familar with.
Part of my OCD shows itself when you look at my DVD collection. I have a specific section just for comic book movies. Do I like them all? Yeah I think. Do I think they could be better. Almost always. Do I like them for the reasons intended when they were made? Oh hell no! Blade Trinity was a freaking awesome comedy! I don't even own the other two. I just thought the idea of a vampiric pomerainian was hilarious.
But on that note...who the fuck greenlights a movie about Ant Man?! Does anybody even know who Ant Man is? That movie should be a riot!

The Ant Man movie really baffles me. He's a 3rd tier type hero who makes guest appearrances in other 1st tier hero comics. I don't see the justification in making a movie on him. Like Compton said, most people probably don't even know who the hell he is.

It's fairly easy to figure out. Top tier heroes are BIG MONEY, but also big risks. Right now all the superhero movies are being done right. That means the big two can name their price for the licences. Anything Marvel or DC has an auto audience, with some specific trust issues from the fans. A minor character like Ant-man will get curiousity from Marvel fans, but not command the millions and millions in fees that Marvel would charge for something like Spiderman.

That's just my point. Marvel fans might go check it out. Unless they do some big time advertising to sell it the rest of the world out there, they might as well send it straight to video.

if it ends up at the cinema, I will go see it, as I am a Marvel addict and NEED to see Marvel films. But if it sucks, people will die!

I'm all for Marvel movies. But it would be like DC making a Man-Bat movie. They have so many cooler characters to bring to the live action screen. I think they should build the fan base using animated features for these lesser known characters.
I do wonder how the Hollywood studios feel about being cut out of the loop though. Thats potentially a lot of money they won't be seeing. (At least it could garner a lot of money when they release movies about characters we actually care about)
