In the club I play with (The SCA) many of the fencers use a rubber chicken as an off hand parrying device.

it's really embarrassing to be thwarted with a rubber chicken.

Yes I have seen the SCA fencers using the rubber chicken . I have even seen them use Anubus hand fingering to distract someone as well.

In the larp Laire they even had made a phoenix feather sword to fight with .
