Okay.. I admit it.. I can cast foam latex, mold my own masks, make blood bags etc..

I can't sew.

Unfortunatly, the wife is a wee bit out of practice and we are having trouble getting ready for the Pirate party at Dragoncon. We got this pattern and it's kicking our behinds.

Yeah yeah.. Makes Johnny Depp look masculine... :d/:

but I really like the first design (biggest picture)

Anyone got any experience in this design or making ruffled shirts?

Would have to take a look at the pattern and instructions for a better idea, but it doesn't look too hard...Would be easier to work out if I could tell if the ruffle's attached on top or set in with the neckline/yoke seam. Actually have/had(couldn't find it just now) a similar pattern that I snagged at a $1.99 sale at Hancock's a while back. It may even be the same one, come to think of it...that envelope design is new for this year.

Edit:
Ok, not the same one...

they always use such pretty men......

i can sew, but my machine's "dissappeared" into the hands of my cousin. i'd end up hand stitching and well i'm more easily distracted from that. if youd asked months ago i could done it for ya.... as is... prolly wouldn't be wearable if i did it lol.

Heck, if they're hiring the work out I've got a machine, no current commissions, have worked semi-professionally as a costumer, and am somewhat strapped for cash;-)

I can sew. Not well, but can get it done. While back made a hat, black velvet-ish material, with a furry trim of crimson with black tips. Call it my 'anti-santa' hat, get lots of compliments. More once people find out I made it myself.

No sewing help here. I had to get someone to sew my patches on my Scout uniform for work.
