OMG I might get to go to a convention for work. That means I'd get PAID to go to a convention.

It's not for sure yet. I'm not sure how or when our district manager is picking people to go. But my buddy at work is the one putting together the list of the willing and I'm definately on it.

He said it was Katsucon, but that's the part I'm unsure about. Cuz the website for Katsucon says it's in Feb, and I was told the con we'd be going to is in Washington DC in Oct. Any input here??

But omg. I'm trying to be realistic here and keep in mind that I might not be going. But SERIOUSLY! Who is more qualified to sell things to con-goers than a short cute pink haired girl?! The only way I could be more qualified is if I were also asian.

Also I am like so hyper.

Doc, that's the Baltimore Comic-Con and is September 27-28 this year. Definitely not in DC. And long enough after Dragon*Con for me to squirrel some money away for my early toy binge. :D

Katsucon will be in Crystal City, VA (outskirts of DC) in February 2009. I think it may be the same weekend as What the Hell Con.

Shea, do you know what hotel or center your company will be set up at? I checked the DC Convention Center Events list and nothing sounds remotely like an Anime or Sci-Fi/Fantasy con - unless you count the AARP national meeting, anything can happen with that crowd. :lol:

Maybe it's the Small Press Expo? That's on October 4-5 at the Marriott Bethesda North Hotel & Conference Center. I drive by the bloody place every day. BTW, there's a really good sushi place about 2 blocks from the Conference Center if anyone is going.

He seemed pretty sure of the DC and October parts. And it sounded like a comic/anime thing cuz he mentioned us not having any competition since tokyopop wasn't gonna have a booth there this year.
