I get dumb ass questions like that at work all the time!! I'll TELL someone about a product we have, suggesting they might like that along with their order, and in the very next breath they'll ask me "Do you have <product I JUST told them about>?" It's soooo hard sometimes NOT to pop off with the "You're obviously not paying attention, so NO, we don't! And furthermore, you're too dumb to be trusted with money, so I'm cancelling your order!"

Just spend a couple moments pondering exactly how hard it would be to rip their throat out with your teeth. Something about that kicks in the survial instinct, they start to actaully pay attention. At least, it works for me.

I'm sure it works GREAT in face to face dealings. But all of my contact with idiots... er, customers.... is over the phone. Which is probably just as well, my stress level would be through the roof if I had to spend all night actually stifling those Carpe Jugulum (thank you Terry Pratchet!) moments.

It happens to customers, too. Sometimes we sales staff get so caught up in our "programmed" routine that we actually neglect to listen to what the customer is saying. I've done it a more than a few times myself.

I used to fuck with peoples xbox live accounts when they really pissed me off. Voice banning, suspended accounts, forced name changes. As I was a supervisor anyone that cared always thought I had a reason for what I did. Technically I had my reason, they just weren't always work related.

I think MS has a clause about you written into the EULA. Saying you can't have an account anyway...something about a threat to national security and the moral fiber of the country. Which is saying a lot considering the moral fiber of most xbox live players. ;)

That's why Halo 3 was used to test this new feature unofficially called the "a-hole button". It's kinda like the "ignore" feature on this board. I have no idea if it will be in the final release, but I hope so.

Actually I can check on that. Got a buddy up at redmond. Just waiting for him to get back to his desk. Even on the Halo 2 you could mute any player you found to be annoying or offensive.
