time for a little shameless promotion.....

The original reason I crashed the DP boards was to cross-promote the (old) home forum (with relevance to pirates). I'll spare the Internet Drama details, but long story short, a significant number of users from the old forum split and started up our own place, the Toadfish Monastery. It's kind of a different concept:

The Toadfish are a monastic order dedicated to humbleness, mutual respect, philosophical discussion and witty wordplay.

The Toadfish Monastery is a visionary community that shares a common goal of better worldwide communication through the use of tolerance, humility, understanding and mutual respect for all humankind.

The Toadfish Monastery forum is a place to think aloud, share ideas and inspirations, practice constructive debate through discussion and games, and develop a supportive fellowship.

Beyond all that serious stuff, there's a general dedication to silliness, alcoholism and bad puns. The rather rollicking pirate area is definitely worth a look, especially the Portsmouth area:

Yah, not that Neighbours Toadfish, Plunder. Actually, I think you'd be a really good fit there (as would many others here).

If garfalk shows up, we'd probably need to haul out the Smiting Sticks again. We've been about as troll and spam free as this place since we moved. Different concept and focus of course - there's no replacing DP.

I have taken a look and I'm certainly intrested, actually it seems like the forum I've allways wish I could find... I just have too much on my hands right now and really don't need another distraction. :(

I'll keep lurking unregistred though. :)


Isn't if funny that most people on the web has a "the other place? My TOP is probably not the same as your TOP but is seems we left those places because of pretty much the same reasons...

Glad to have you lurking, Darlica - we've tried to make it like the forum we always wished we could find. Glad other people might see it that way too. ;)

Do sign up if you get some time later.... things get even more interesting there as one progresses as a member.
