any body else seen the weird voltron meets transformers meets power rangers meets gundam toys out there? i know they're all loosely the same concept (yeah yeah 3 out of 4 have humanoid controllers) but some of them are just straight up bastardizations. and odd as hell.

When it comes to giant robot toys, the Japanese are very formulaic on the one hand and very imaginative on the other. Some are obvious jokes on the genre and others... well they just try too hard to be cool and end up looking silly.
