New territory ... Ace!!

Weigh Anchor!

I go away for a few days and it's all change!

No idea where the Captain is though ... oh well ...

Crew, break out the rum!!!

Wayne
07-13-2007, 12:25 PM
Rum sounds like an excellent idea for first thing in the morning.

Maz
07-13-2007, 12:27 PM
Rum is always good, help with that Friday feeling ...

... and it afternoon here, perfect time, :p

Wayne

I am really a true believer in "Tuesday starts the weekend"

Maz
07-13-2007, 12:38 PM
Not heard that one before, heh!

Rum? *jumps out of the crows nest sliding down the mast and disapearing below deck to reappear again shorty rolling a barrel which makes sloshing sounds*

Rums Out Helps ye'self! *drinks from a flask*

When you dont drink alcohol on a pirate ship you keep your beverages where landlubber keep their rum!

Maz

:: Fills tankard, then sprawls in hammock. ::

This is the life, ;)

Wayne
07-13-2007, 01:15 PM
Not heard that one before, heh!

Got it from a comedian on the Bob & Tom radio show.

Now where did that barrel of rum get to?

Ecchi_Kitty
07-13-2007, 02:20 PM
*makes way up from below deck, clipboard in hand*
*lacking a captain to report to, reports to The Wench*

Oy, anchor set, sails tied, cannons ready. Some of the crew took a long boat to scout the area and look for supplies. We're well set up for when the Captain returns.

Only trouble is we seem to be missing a barrel of.... oh, there it is. Never mind.

Maz
07-13-2007, 02:23 PM
:: Opens one eye to listen. ::

Good work, carry on!

Wayne
07-13-2007, 02:29 PM
That barrel goes missing way to often around here. That is why I hide rum in the mop bucket.

And you people actually thought I was swobbing the deck.

Maz
07-13-2007, 02:34 PM
Not missing, just gone, :p

And no worries, there is plenty for all. Makes for less casualities, both fighting for rations and falling from rigging.

Ecchi_Kitty
07-13-2007, 02:40 PM
Mostly because they're too drunk to get up into the rigging in the first place....

Wayne
07-13-2007, 04:05 PM
Mostly because they're too drunk to get up into the rigging in the first place....

Then how is it my pants always seem to be flying right under our pirate flag?

Ecchi_Kitty
07-13-2007, 08:34 PM
...is that who's pants those are? Maybe if you washed them once in a while, they wouldn't crawl off....

Wayne

Not everyone is drunk ;)

And here I thought it was how we celebrated "No Pants Friday"

garfalk
07-14-2007, 07:21 AM
*pulls by in another, bigger ship*
haha! i got more rum on the poop deck then you have in your entire vessel!
why don't you share my bounty!

Death Dragon2
07-14-2007, 09:05 AM
Because their Rum doesn't have rats in it. Yours does.

Plunder Down-Under
07-14-2007, 09:49 AM

Also, we dont like our drinks watered down

Wayne

Boo watered down drinks.

Hooray RUM!

Rapscallion

ha!
poop on rum deck? i dun't have a rum deck...
and rats be tasty soaked in rum.

Wayne
07-14-2007, 05:48 PM
Smoked rum rats. I much look to see if I can find a recipe out there on the internet for this.

Farler
07-15-2007, 01:50 AM
*pulls alongside upon the mighty Kraken* AHOY! Hope you don't mind sharing the rum with a two fisted drinker... and an 18 fisted guzzler. The only problem with a living ship is it's hard to steer when it's drunk.

Wayne
07-15-2007, 02:09 AM
This shindig just keeps getting better and better.

Plunder Down-Under
07-15-2007, 10:13 AM
Wait if he has more rum on his poop deck than we do on our whole ship and its all in his belly shouldnt he be exploding or something?

Wayne
07-15-2007, 01:53 PM
If he does explode then I guess we get a new ship.

Maz
07-16-2007, 08:18 AM
I like my ship thanks ... it's not made from kitchen tubes and sticky-back plastic. Nice work Plunder ... you read my mind, :pparty:

There plenty rum here ... and slaves ... and crew ... and ... do we need anything else!?

Death Dragon2
07-16-2007, 09:37 AM

How about some flying monkeys? Everyone could use a flying monkey.

Maz
07-16-2007, 01:19 PM
Um ... no, sorry. They are just too high maintanence, and would probably just get into fights with the wolf boys.

It's all about the balance.

Wayne
07-16-2007, 02:12 PM
Oh well. I guess I will just go have a few drinks and set off some fireworks.

Ecchi_Kitty
07-16-2007, 02:36 PM

*wawes with arms over my head*

Do you mind picking me up? I'm ship-wrecked and the barrel of rum and the bag of limes I use as a floating divice isn't big enough to scare off the sharks...

Saltwarer in the bodice is as bad as it sounds... And those pants seems awfully lony hanging under the flag.

No, I'm not taking anything off untill I have someting dry to put on!

Ecchi_Kitty
07-17-2007, 01:58 PM
Well, we have this nice silk dress.... with manditory manicle accessories...
Or there's this nice sarin wrap suit...
Oh, here's a pair of daisy-duke short-shorts and a thin white T-shirt.... just ignore the pitcher of ice water...

Ah, here we are. Simple flower print sun dress. Bit low cut, but somehow I doubt that will be a problem.

I ask because we are traditionally provided free passage on many pirate ships... probably because we traditionally 'accidentally' leave the doors to the Monastery spirit cellars unlocked when we know pirates are about. We are a very spiritual bunch. :drunk:

We've also sent a few of the pirate elite on important Quests in the past....

Welcome aboard! I'm the Rum Inspector/Lookout/Last resort weapon. I also enjoy a good bit of soft vore. I like being able to feel my prey squirming around in my stomach before I "release" them as either a wolf boy or cat girl. Cat Boys tend to disappear on this ship for some odd reason.

They just get put to work ... and we already got a Boatswain, but lookout? I guess is okay ... :p

Darlica, no warries. The captain is female, and I'm her second. There are many rolls here. Don't have to be a slave. I just happen to claim Plunder as my bare-footed slave ... and ain't had no complaints yet,

Yah, I can help out in the kitchen, too.... aside from 5+ years of meatspace experience, I've been ship's cook on other fora. Have some GREAT anti-scurvy methods.

And this cleaver works just as well for lopping off a game leg as it does for preparing a leg of game, so a little light surgery is OK, too. That's why they used to call me Doc Otis...

All right you lot. *collars a bunch of non-descript crewmembers* Get these empty casks cleaned up. You two, clear out those crates, make a landing pad for the bears. You, and you, ready the mess hall for a barbeque. You, tell the cook to ready some side dishes, probally hashbrows.

And for Pasta's sake, someone get those rum casks away from the grill!

Captain Kitty

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring.
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red!
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

II.

O captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up! For you the flag is flung, for you the bugle trills:
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths, for you the shores a-crowding:
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning.
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

III.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won!
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Tis actually about President Lincon's assasination.

How about a traditional Canuckistani privateering song?

O the year was 1778
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
A letter of marque came from the king
To the scummiest vessel I've ever seen

God damn them all
I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold
We'd fire no guns, shed no tears
Now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett's Privateers

2. O Elcid Barrett cried the town
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
For twenty brave men all fishermen who
Would make for him the Antelope's crew
God damn them all . . . .

3. The Antelope sloop was a sickening site
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
She'd list to the port and her sails in rags
And the cook in the scuppers with the staggers and jags
God damn them all . . . .

4. On the King's birthday we put to sea
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
Ninety-one days to Montego Bay
Pumping like madmen all the way
God damn them all . . . .

5. On the ninety-sixth day we sailed again
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
When a great big Yankee hove in sight
With our cracked four-pounders we made to fight
God damn them all . . . .

6. The Yankee lay low down with gold
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
She was broad and fat and loose in stays
But to catch her took the Antelope two whole days
God damn them all . . . .

7. Then at length she stood two cables away
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
Our cracked four-pounders made awful din
But with one fat ball the Yank stove us in
God damn them all . . . .

8. The Antelope shook and pitched on her side
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
Barrett was smashed like a bowl of eggs
And the main truck carried off both me legs
God damn them all . . . .

9. Now here I lay in my twenty-third year
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now
It's been six years since we sailed away
And I just made Halifax yesterday
God damn them all . . . .

* In the Due South episode Mountie on the Bounty, Fraser sings Barrett's Privateers during dinner on board the Henry Allen. By the last verse, the crew is so caught up in the song that Ray Kowalski is able to slip away to inspect the suspect's cabin.

Southern Cross

Got out of town on a boat for the southern islands
On a reach before a following sea
We were making for the trades on the outside
And the downhill run to Papeete

Off the wind on this heading lie the Marquesas
We got eighty feet of waterline nicely making way
In a noisy bar in Avalon I tried to call you
But on the midnight watch I realized why twice you ran away

(Chorus)
Think about how many times I have fallen
Spirits are using me, larger voices calling
What heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten
I have been around the world
Looking for that woman girl
Who knows love can endure
And you know it will. And you know it will.

When you see the southern cross for the first time
You understand just why you came this way
Cause the truth you might be running from is so small
But its as big as the promise, the promise of a coming day

And I'm heading all the way, my dreams are dying
And my love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain
I have my ship and all her flags are a-flying
She is all I have left and music is her name

(chorus)

So we cheated and we tried and we tested
And we never failed to fail, it was the easiest thing to do
You will survive being bested
Somebody strong comes along, makes me forget, forget about loving you
And the southern cross

I wish I had a barrel of rum, and sugar, three hundred pounds
the college bell to mix it in, and clapper to stir it round.

Like every honest fellow, I take my whisky clear
I'm a ramblin wreak, from Golden Tech
A hell of an Engineer

A hell of a' hell of a' hell of a' hell of a' hell of a' engineer
A hell of a' hell of a' hell of a' hell of a' hell of a' engineer
Like every honest fellow, I take my whisky clear
I'm a ramblin wreak, from Golden Tech
A hell of an Engineer

And here we have a fighting man, in either hand a gun
He's not afraid of anything, he's never known to run
He dearly loves his whisky, he dearly loves his beer
He's a shootin, fightin, dynamitin,
hell of an Engineer

A shootin, fightin, dynamitin, hell of an Engineer
A shootin, fightin, dynamitin, hell of an Engineer
He dearly loves his whisky, he dearly loves his beer
He's a shootin, fightin, dynamitin,
hell of an Engineer

If you want to gear the planets, that roam around the sun
We'll do the job up nicely, and only call it fun
And if you want a bridge to Mar, or a ten foot shaft to Hell
We're the Engineers of a thousand years, and we'll do the job up well

The Engineers of a thousand years, and we'll do the job up well
The Engineers of a thousand years, and we'll do the job up well
And if you want a bridge to Mar, or a ten foot shaft to Hell
We're the Engineers of a thousand years, and we'll do the job up well.

Anyone intendin' to indulge in some good ol' fashioned buggery on the high seas (particularly the receivin' end) should see the cooks to arrange alternate meals - we're instituting anti-scurvy measures.

Chili peppers are very good for scurvy, but as a side effect tend to prevent buggery as well, at least for the quantities we's be usin'...

Ah but unfortunately it is still illegal for US citizens to partake in activities that are illegal in the US but are legal in another country that they are in.:cry::cry:

It is also illegal to leave your state and the US for the reason of having sex with someone whom is not 18.

Which is why a bunch of rich kids and congressional brats got into trouble for going over to Amsterdam and getting stoned, drunk and partaking of prostitutes. They were charged and convicted shortly after they returned to the states. They were 17 to 19 yrs old.

That's what happens when you work for, er... live under the World Police TM. Actually, do agree with anti-sex-tourism laws (aside from semi-managed cases like Amsterdam, sex tourism is exploitive, creepy and tends towards extreme activities and child sex WAY too often), but the application of US laws to US citizens outside of the US is a bit much.

Better check that such laws don't exist here, although there's really nothing I'd do outside of Canada that I wouldn't do here, and a few things I wouldn't do outside of the country that I'm willing to risk at home.

Yea the laws outside the country are one of those things that most people here in the US don't know about. That sort of stuff is let slide. But its one of them extra things that they use to get people on that they've been unsuccessfully trying to get. Or to make an example of as they did with the kids, saying yea you got money to goto another country and do their what you can't do here... but we're still going to slap you around for because we're the US...and your under our rule:confused:

We were somewhere around Madness, on the edge of Sanity, when the Pixie sticks began to take hold... I remember saying something like "I'm feeling a bit lightheaded, maybe you should take the helm"... Suddenly there was terrible mewling all around us, and the sky was filled with what looked like Chibi-Catgirls all diving and mewly and glomping about the deck

in my household its always been the "big strong hunter" that scaled the fish, skinned the meat, and plucked the bird.

so.... wheres the supposed "girls work" cause i just see the dirty work.

Well, if the menfolk are squeamish, most womenfolk will get-r-done. I don't consider anything women's work unless it involves having fashion sense (and then only because I'm lacking it). Oh, that and the giving birth thing, if they are so inclined. Men haven't got that one down.

I personally like food enough to enjoy being able to take my meats from hoof to table when necessary, pleasant or not.
