This particular strip seems to have been plagued by bad luck of one form or another for many years, but I felt it was worth adding to the list here because of the artist's use of 2D characters against a 3D computer generated set.
Originally, it was known as Haul Trek, a parody of the famous Star Trek franchise. Later, to avoid the wrath of overzealous Paramount lawyers, the Trek references were virtually eliminated. Both versions, however, revolved around the misadventures of one Lt. Mzzkiti on the transport ship PCV Pharsicle, which bears more than a passing resemblance to a rusted out tractor trailer. (Yes, an Optimus Prime gag was in the works.)
The story hasn't progressed for several years due to the passing of the original writer, Paul Gibbs, but Bill Redfern keeps the site up and going, occasionally posting 1 panels and guest art.
