Maybe we should find a place, set a date, and all just get drunk and have a huge orgy.
+ 1 million to that idea!
Hey isn't there a con your running soon?
Yes..Archon, in St. Louis.
I'll have a room to my own (well, mine and the Mrs).

I have come to love honesty, beautiful blunt honesty. Why must there be so many who hide behind lies?
And yet, you live all the way out there in GA. Which makes things a little difficult. Well, at least it's good to know that bluntness is appreciated by some. It'd be nice to recieve every once in a while. I'm starting discover more and more males who play the game as well or better than women *grumbles*

wow, i'm astonished that i just noticed this conversation.
because i have input.
slightly late though it may be.
apparently apathy is quite attractive. because as soon as i decided that i really didn't care for dating at the current time and didn't really want a boyfriend at all.... i've been getting hit on all the frikin time. wtf! and it's always by... normal people. so normal that i have to resist the urge to laugh at them and try to explain that there is no way they could handle my level of strange.
But I have to agree about the being straightforward. I have a notorious bad habit for not knowing when I'm being hit on or asked out or... looked at. But there is a point at which there is such a thing as too blunt. Like today, when i had to go get a new tire on my car, guy at the shop turns to me and asks "Do you have a boyfriend?", I say "No", and he asks, "Are you looking for one?", And I smile and give a very definate "No".
Seriously.

Yeah I just saw your picture.
Exteremely pretty.
I always try to be smooth or cute with my bluntness.
Unless I see that may not work and then it's like let me get my cavemen cluebat and sort this out.
Good Phil
09-16-2008, 02:50 AM
If I like a guy, he knows it, from the beginning, because life's too short to beat around the bush (take that however you wish *laughs*).
So you don't like to play games? Pity, games can be so much fun!
Insert small joke here: Women on the internet: (Sane) (Attractive) (Single) You may only pick a maximum of two.
Now, don't get rilled up, I'm sure this doesn't apply to the lovely ladies here, but it highlights an important related truth that I have discovered; I've figured out that I like hanging out with crazy women.
Not dating. Not messing around with, just hanging out with. I'm very clear up front with them on those first parts. And by crazy, I don't mean, spontaneous, or vivacious, or uninhibited, I mean crazy.
Case in point, let's call her J. J and I hang out a good bit. She's smart, very attractive, successfully employed, single, and crazy as a fruit bat on crystal meth. But she is a LOAD of fun.
Guys that only sort of know me will be like, "Wow, J is hot. Are you two....? " "Oh no, no, we are just friends." "So you wouldn't mind if I....?" "I wouldn't mind... but you might not want to." They NEVER listen. It's so freaking funny when they start to realize that maybe she's not worth the effort. Like little lemmings banging their head against the wall that is the craziness.
Good times!
(Sorry, just my little random injection into this very off topic thread. Can't wait to see where it goes next! Hope I don't sound conceited! Or cruel!)

I am pretty librarated sexually as a girl. Sex is one thing. Love is another. They can co-exist or not at all. Every relationship is different and has different levels.
As is such.. I get labeled a slut. I'll admit I've even been stupid about bedfellows from time to time but never dangerously stupid. Just drama. Always stupid drama/
But I get labeled. People get warned about me- I'm too wild, blunt and immature.
And it pisses me off because the silly girl who gets drunk is about 4% of me.
Me telling a joke that one would expect out of a guy or liking sports makes me butch.
Or I'd rather spend most of my time in tee shirts and jeans.
Because of all this I've really pulled back and I have my defenses on more.
Hell it was part of teh reason I moved to Atlanta.
I don't like the double standards that still exist.
And I want a fresh start because I'm not the idiotic 22 year old I once was.
Sadly, the double standard is alive and well. A successfull sexually active male is a stud, a female is a slut. These days, who can trust strangers with their health?
Flirtation is NOT cockteasing and it *IS* possible to live a Bi/gay/poly or just open life and be happy.
But being HUMAN, you get judged. If you are male and NOT a philandering, cheating scumbag with 15 BAJILLION numbers in a black filing cabinet... you are either gay or a wimp... according to idiots.
Up until recently, I was under the impression that I was pleasantly happy with my life and my status as a male. I still am, despite getting some reality thrown in my face about what I've accomplished in my life.
When I was young, I got ostracized because of one thing, people saw it bothered me. Children can be cruel, people can be cruel, it just is. You say you are much more guarded, but you also seem to be quite happy to flirt and tease online. GOOD FOR YOU!!! Life is too short. Learning to balance things and work within the enviornment is an ongoing battle. Keep the positive attitude and the bad won't seem so terrible and the good will seem sweeter!
Miss Kitty
09-16-2008, 04:57 AM
I really am okay... I just get sensitive occasionally. This year has been really hard and this next month will really tell about my future in Atlanta. In my twenties I was so many characters everything from the girl who came out of the closet to Penny Lane*.
Now days - I am a flirt. But I've learned boundries. I just try to be more relaxed when I meet people.
My defenses being up- that's mostly in real life. I just try to ease people in to who I am and then I wait to see if I can trust em.
But I'm still very open about who I am.
It's a quandry, finding the balance of being the quiet girl in the chair reading and the wild hellion.
Life is too short. I've had so many adventures- Hell I totally went broke to move myself to Georgia to persue a dream of being a chef. At 30! Going back to school (well maybe- still trying to get this one final loan).
So I guess in short- there are reasons I'm single but I don't think I'm more terrible then any other girl- I'm just more open about my misdeeds and victories.

speaking of vampire porn.... did anyone else pick up that SWAG book Seize the night?
gave me something to read on the plane ride home and just... well i don't know, it's a good book just not my kind of style of book, but i can't leave a book unfinished.
Hey Jack, did that woman ever send you that picture?

I picked it up. but I didn't read it yet. I've got about ten on my list to read before I read anything else.
And no she didn't. Never replied when I emailed her. I want a copy of that one too. It'll make for good brainbreaking material.

Oh, Death!
Take me in your cold, chilly arms!

Next time i give my friend a ring I'll tell him to remind her to send it.
The book is alright, i ended up sitting down and finished reading it after i posted. I mean, other than the whole big romance parts which just isn't my thing, it was pretty good.

Sherrilyn Kenyon's Seize the Night?? duuuuuuuuuuuude. if you're not into the mooshy gooshy stuff, its still a good series, its that background story linking all the books together that makes it so badass. i'm just kinda ....... well i'm seriously blown the hell away by Acheron's book. its so not what i expected. but...... it explains alot. its just.... my favorite part was the guessy guess about him. each book was a new clue about him and stuff. but now we've got new peoples to wonder about with the beginning of the secondary arc of this series.
i still want to know who the HELL Savitar is. and and and i wanna know if she'll ever do a reprint on the original stories that led to the creation and shaping of what the series is now that she had released in like those scifi-story magaziney things.
and i'm TWITCHING with need to read the next book about Stryker and his chicky muwahahahahaha.
and and and um yeah.no spoily. read the rest of the series cause one book alone doesn't really do you any good with it. i've got three copies of each already. just to share and force feed my obsession on others.
whaaaaat? atleast you can't use my book to roll holy roaches.

I got kinda tired of the those series. I could predict what was going to happen next. They have a formula they follow...almost the same sex scenes just different locations and names. I ended up giving those 2 series away to some friends. I want something that has a different twist to it when I read the series.
And the Vamp porn? Dont knock it boys. If you date or know a woman that reads that stuff, you will know that those girls keep their men well satisfied in bed. I know my husband doesnt mind my addiction to books and what he likes to call "smut" in a joking manner. I remind him that that "smut" is what keeps him happy on a nightly basis.

i wasn't knocking it, not my typical genera of books i mean apart from the whole sex parts it was a pretty good book, i'm just not for all the whole 'he shoved her up against the wall and their passion burned so hot.' parts of the book, it just makes me lose interest, other than that the book was pretty good, and too bad they didn't talk more about the were's and just the passing mention of them :-(
Anyways yeah it was a good book other than the big sex parts, they just don't do it fr me in novels, but hey it was free LOL.
Hell i wish i could find a woman that read that stuff, they lack around here, and the couple i have met end up being completely nutters, shame.
THe whole part with Simi and Nick made me laugh and i liked the characters

the were-hunters do have their own books. and so do the dream-hunters. there's even more of both planned to pop out over the next year. but since you asked for the were's alone....
Night Play- Bride McTierny and Vane Katalakis (wolf)
Unleash the Night- Wren Tigarian and Marguerite Goudeau (snowleopard/white tiger)
DragonSwan- Sebastian Kattalakis and Dr. Channon MacRae (dragon)
Dark Side of the Moon- Ravyn Kontis and Susan Micheals (technically a panther turned Dark-Hunter. and a big time journalist turned..... well if it were a real paper she'd be writing for weekly world news)
and the her addition to the anthology Stroke of Midnight-Winterborn- Dante Pontis and Pandora (both panthers though one is Arcadian and the other Katagaria; book is set at Dragon*Con of all places)
THe whole part with Simi and Nick made me laugh and i liked the characters
Simi is a MUCH beloved character and is rumored to get her own sweety soon. Nick.... i can't say more. you need the latest for what i CAN say and even then...... again read the whole series.
now the were-hunter books are listed out of order i'm sure. i had to sit and rack my brain and finally gave up and looked up which anthology Winterborn is in. i'm fairly sure DragonSwan is book two in the series. but honestly? Unleash the Night and Winterborn are my favorites of the were0hunters right now. simply because they both give ALOT of info about the intricacies of were-hunters and cause winterborn gives one hell of an insight into the whole culture clash between the whole arcadian/katagaria dealie.
i'm also now thinking alot about..... well what about Spawn? the only Appolite turned Dark-hunter i've ever seen mention of. i wonder if he gets a book. and i STILL don't know what happened to the one that loved an appolite and accidentilly took a nip or so....
and omg. i'm talking too much. again. i'm not spoiling. read the damned books.
i need someone to fangirl with.

lol, omg that sounds like a lot of books.....
After Kings Gunslinger Saga, I am terrified to start a new saga, i still have to read parts of The Skeleton Crew, Finish Desperation, Read Eyes of the Dragon, From a Buick 8.... too many damn interconnected books....
*sigh* poor Roland...

DragonSwan is also in an anthology called "Tapestry"
And hey! That whole "He pushed her up against the wall" stuff is sexy! Reason why we read it is because guys just dont do that stuff anymore.

Oh sweetling, you need to talk to some of my former lovers :-)
The reason I have "Insane Ravenous Beast" tattoo'd in Hankukmal on my groin isn't just due to it being the nickname given to me by the katusas ( Mi Chum Jim Sung )
Sure I can be romantic. but sometimes the mood just called for holding a girl up against the wall and taking her while biting, growling in her ear, snarluing and chuffing ...
Even better when she's just as animalistic.
(- *chuckles* and I still giggle when I think of how many times THAT happened in high school just before going over to her folks house for dinner. -)

me no like heat... which is why me and wife each have own covers on bed. She's nuclear furnace, typically having fevers of 101 to 102 in night. My temp drops to 96 and need to build heat back up in the morning before I'm not as grumpy
