I'm an illustrator in Long Beach, CA who's enjoyed the comic for awhile. I decided to do my own take on Jennie herself. Hope you like it!

I think this one should go in Jennie's gallery of fan art.

Thanks for the comments!
Done entirely in Adobe Illustrator, if anyone's interested. Vector art is great, but, hoy, it takes awhile to produce.

Thanks Jimbo (and others) for the really kind words. I've never met Jennie in person, so I have no idea if it's anything like her. Just my own impression of the comic character, I guess.

Thanks!
You know, it's funny, I used to make up excuses to avoid doing tattoo designs for friends. I think I was afraid of them turning into a walking, talking version of one of those sketchbook drawings you did 15 years ago that your mother insists on hanging onto, even though it embarrasses you to pieces.
These days, though, I've calmed down a little and I think it's fun.
You looking for a tattoo design, Leffy? What's your poison?

lol i need to get a bug in a bush within the next.... 5 weeks. only i'm not the butterfly type. so i need something that fits me. i swore i'd get it before my 25th birthday but in the 6 years since i agreed i honestly can't find one i like enough to want on my body. the closest i've come is the wings of a luna moth, but i've already got an artist set up for that, and those are going from just under my collar bone to the small of my back, and i'm getting harlains birthdate on my right ring finger.

Hm. I'm intrigued. What sorts of bugs appeal to you?

I love ladybugs and butterflies, butterflies have awesome wings, and lady bugs remind me of when I was like 5 and wheneve I found one id get it to crawl all over my fingers.

My youngest son loves bugs and fish. Has several lady bug themed things: a t-shirt, a backpack, plush toys, a lunch box...was quite excited when he got one to crawl on him. And he loves visiting butterfly houses, especially if any of them land on him. I hope other boys don't end up driving that love of living things out of him just because it's not something associated with being a male.

Help him to be confident and secure in who he is and you won't have to worry about it. He'll like what he likes and the rest of us neandrethals be damned!
