Ussually my fighter/meatshield characters switch after a monstercall "no effect", to the playercall "annoy" after ten hits "annoy" the monster ussually is the desired effect and will leave more vunerable characters alone to fight me first.

It's probably against the rules to use the fact the person playing your character weighs more than the person playing the ogre, but it might just work.
