View Full Version : Are written RPs ok?
It's just that I dont actually have any other characters. I have a million different ones for written RPs, but I've never played Warhammer or things like that...

as far as i know written ones can be more fun lol that seems to be the only kind of rping i do as well
I want to go boffer LARPing... I dont know where they do it though. My costume would probably suck and people would laugh, right up until I smash their head open with my club.

Pen & Paper RPGs are fine. In fact, I personally prefer them over LARPs, MMOs, and computer/console RPGs.
well, I mean actually typing. On websites. There's this one that I've joined where everyone can get together and talk or RP or put in art.

's how I got started in the first place...PBEM Pern games, originally, though I branched out into other things eventually. The Pern thing I was in for years, though, was quite possibly the best lots-of-geeks-playing-together experience I've either had or heard of. There was NO out-of-play drama, and the few times anyone had a problem with what someone else had said or done, they handled it privately and without making a fuss, and got back to the game. Sadly, it petered out several years ago...something about a big chunk of us regulars graduating and going off to college(yes...the most mature, least angst-ridden gaming group I've dealt with was composed primarily of highschoolers and college freshmen).
Archives are still around, though...at least the stuff from after we switched to a yahoo group instead of mass mailing our posts.
