RPG Designer Erick Wujcik Diagnosed With Cancer

Those of us who have been gaming since the 1980's are probably familiar with at least one of the RPGs designed by Erick Wujcik. He was responsible for the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness RPG as well as its spin-off dubbed After the Bomb. He also founded Phage Press and created a role-playing game based off of the Amber fantasy novels.

Word officially came down from Erick's old business partner and best friend, Kevin Siembieda (creator of Rifts and founder of Palladium Books) on December 22nd of 2007 about Erick's cancer. At this point, it is inoperable so it's just a matter of time.

Further proof that the Universe is an uncaring bitch. Britney Spears, Keanu Reeves, Rob Liefeld, George W Bush and other useless stains on the collective psyche of our race are walking around in good health.

Yet people like Terry Pratchet ( Alzheimers ) and Erick Wujcik ( Cancer ) are struck down.

Erick's been moved into a hospice. I suspect his clock will be winding down soon. :(
