I really must love Jennie or something. Spent $60 for what amounts to a day-badge, went thru hordes of cosplayers (including lots of hairy men wearing women's costumes :eek: :bbleach:), and fighting with con security to *try* and get to the Artists' Alley.
Why the fight/argument? No one could tell me how to get to the Artists' Alley, even though it was right next to the dealers' room. Even the information-esque desk couldn't help and they were in the Dealers' room. :facepalm:
Them: "I think it's in the other part of the complex across the street."
Me: "No, it isn't, I just came from there. According to your map and guides, it's directly next to the Dealers' room."
Them: "It is?"
Me: "..."
Them: "Well go down the other set of stairs."
Me: "Can't. They're blocked off."
Them: "They are?"
Them: "Take the elevator on the 2nd floor."
Me: "Can't. You have it locked down for con staff and handicapped people only."
Them: "It is?"
They finally had to take me (and another group of people) thru a "con staff only" door that went directly into the Artists' Alley. I'm not all that impressed with Otakon, which is too bad. It's a pretty big con but not well informed. *rolls eyes*
After that, things mellowed. Found Jennie. I like her new 'do and she modeled her new double-breasted (stop it!) jacket from England. Pretty snazzy looking. And I squiked the Jennie!!!! :dgrin: She called me an evil man and that I had hurt her brain. :lol: Oh, life is good.
She's got some new stories that sound like a total hoot once she gets them done & posted. I got to be a minion for a few moments and put the fear of Jennie into someone borrowing something of hers. :cool:
