I'm trying to convince her that it would be economic for her to sell some of the pieces she beads, but she says since she just BUYS the beads and not make them or anything special, would be silly, because beading is insanely easy and stupid people could do it, or rather "a monkey could do it"

It seems to be a fairly common problem...if something comes easily to me, I'm more likely to be surprised when someone else can't do it than to think I'm more talented at that particular thing. It still flabbergasts me when I meet people who've never sewn a stitch in their life, or can't cook...same sort of thing. I've observed similar attitudes in others, as well.

That said, though, one of the big things that got me finally making an effort on the attempted sales front was walking through the market district in downtown Charleston, and seeing all these shops and stands--which were apparently making enough off of their goods to have that sort of a presence--carrying stuff similar to what I make...and realizing that what I made was at least as good as theirs.

Another thing that might help, in your friend's case, is pointing out that it's not just the skill that she'd be selling, it's the creativity. Yes, anyone can buy a bunch of beads and run cord/wire/whatever through them, but unless they know what goes well with what, or have some idea of what the finished piece should look like and how to make it look that way, it won't come out the same.
