Unofficially, I can say that Jennie will be a comic nifty at Penguicon... Things aren't finalized but I was told that we're going to bring her somehow. :) I only know because I'm in charge of the webcomic programming at Penguicon.

I'll also be holding a raffle with the benefits going to the March of Dimes (for Sehson's wife) so come out and play with us!

Yea a friend of ours is doing a raffle and has already collected some kick ass prizes for it.

We're doing the midnight munchie bake sale. Which will include Nutella cookies.

Oh and JennieB if you have any baked goods requests let me know. current;y on the list of things to bake.

Cheese cakes
better then sex brownies
various cookies
Peanut butter muffins
carrot cake muffins
some diabetic friendly stuff... yet to be determined the carrot cake is actually pretty diabetic friendly and relative fat free(without the creamcheese frosting) but you'd never know it.

Leffy

remember diabetic friendly does not mean all you can eat lol

but yeah, March of Dimes has had VERY big hand in my and my daughter's lives. Without them I would not have survived my first hour alive, and without them my daughter would've been born when i was 6 and a half months pregnant. i am the girl that pounces and mauls the people that tell me the only reason they don't donate is because they provide funding for various planned parenthood organizations. if you don't want to cool, if you don't have it cool, but don't you dare try and tell me you just plain won't because you think they're evil incarnate because anyone and everyone with ANY hand in March of Dimes is an angel among men to me.

Leffy, if there's any left of them after you're done ...

SEND THEM TO ME!

Anyone who badmouths either the March of Dimes or St. Judes is someone who'd best know how to run faster scared than I can when genuinely angry.

Angry as in I would later apologize to anyone innocent who I hurt in my straight full on bear run towards the fool.

Ive never heard of them before, but from what ive gleamed from the last two comments I'd donate to them if I wasnt an impoverished student

The March of Dimes is a seventy year old organization whose original goal was to raise funds to finance the research of polio and finding a cure for it. They've since branched out to encompass many areas which the health of infants.

My uncle had polio as a child. It was thanks to organizations like the March of Dimes that he survived and was able to live a productive life. He passed away far too young. But he lived long enough to see all three of his children go on to become successful in their chosen careers.

So yeah, I'd lose my cool if I heard someone say anything bad about the March of Dimes. I would interpret their words as them stating my uncle should've died as a child.

My wife supports the march of dimes since she and her sister were both premies and as a result both have CP. They were also both crack babies before they knew what crack babies or even crack was, her mom was a Darvon addict. 35-40 pills/day by the way currently the company, that makes darvon, says more then 8 pills in a 24hr period is nearing lethal dosage... my wife is amazed her mother is still alive.

We've been doing the MD walk for the past 9 years, and the past 4 my wife has been the single largest individual raiser of funds. Meaning her alone versus corporate teams.

WE get dressed up in garb every year for it, the walk 5.1 miles.... yea I would really like to know who did the math on that one.... 5K=3.2 mile it's supposed to be a 5K walk but they set up the course so it is 5.1 mile.... Just goes to show what an education is good for...

And anyone not doing anything on APril 26 is welcome to join us terrorize the 'Danes

No booze?!?!?!?!

How are you going to survive the weekend? Oh wait, you don't drink. How is DEB going to survive?

Alcohol is planned for my weekend. Lots of it. :)

As for the hose... if nothing else, there is a pool. We can drop them in it... unless someone brings a power washer. That would be awesome.

Sooo, just in case I'm not back to work by the time Penguincon comes about ... anyone want to let an unemployed "Strong Guy/Guido" crash with them?

Would be a shame to be THAT close to a con Jennie is showing up at and not making an appearance.

There's no MIGHT about it. She'll be latched onto the closest heat producing unit for the entire time she's here.

Oh, if I'm able to make it down, I'm planning on bringing some Murdick's fudge. What flavours should I bring besides double chocolate? I was thinking Black Cherry and perhaps maple.

Unfortunately, it's an hour and 15 min AFTER Tamora's flight gets in, so Jennie & I can't ambush her at the airport. ^_^

Unemployment runs out in a few weeks and I can't risk touching my Dragon*Con fund unless it's an emergency.

Ah, yes. Being a caretaker of a toddler capable of creating nuclear-fallout riddled messes.

I really don't miss being a nanny sometimes.

Then I remember the sweet little hugs and kisses.

Damnit, now I really miss the girls.

Leffy

when they're tiny.... you can't wait until they can walk and talk. when they get bigger.... you can't wait until they learn when to sit down and shut up. then they get even bigger. and yu consider whether or not its good parenting or atleast human to super glue their butts in a chair and tape their mouths shut.

then they stop talking to you.
