Say what you will about English cooking, they make some great sweets. I'm not too fond of the Lion & Flake bars, but I love the Cadbury Dairy Milk and Whole Nut chocolate bars. Oh, and McVitie's Hob Nobs cookies/biscuits.
I wonder which ones Jennie fell in love with and brought home?
kitty!

my nan packs boxes full of sweeties and biscuits whenever she comes to visit. I expect I'm to pack my bags with flakes, hobnobs, tea cakes and cadbury's before I head back home.

Rest assured, if you're ever in Southwest FL you can get your Brit sweet tooth fix here. I still have an unfinished box of Jelly Babies in the fridge.

UK chocolate is a well-known American bribe, at least for folks where I work (London office of a US company.)
It works both ways though- when I travel to the US, I have to fetch back Peanut butter M&Ms to maintain my favour level at work.
I'm told blackcurrant flavour candy is unknown in the US, and for the more dollar-removing experience, Belgian chocolate is readily available over here. That stuff has been favourably compared to many illegal narcotics. Belgian chocolate and choc-coated coffee beans.
I reckon I could do well if I fill a bag with those to bring over to a con, and sell it to artists :)

Oooh... I haven't had chocolate covered coffee beans in ages. Just one of those is potent by itself.
Blackcurrant isn't unknown here, it's just not widely circulated. You can find it in the big cities at the nicer candy shops or in an area like mine.

I wonder if Jennie visted Cadbury World after all?
Nah... she would had done a billion strips on that subject if she had! :jbp:
Hmm... Cadbury!
We can get Milka easily here, which is pretty good too! :jbprncs:

I dunno...I took a plastic tub of the beans(and a couple'a other things) to Jennie last year, and she accused me of trying to kill her. Several times.

Well its this kinda red stuff that looks like jelly but its firmer and it gets covered with some kind of sugar but the version i prefer has it covered in chocolate instead.
Delight. Says it all.

easy to get here :p
But it is true.. whenever i travel to a foreign country, i`m asked to take as much belgian chocolade as i`m allowed :p
Hmm... maybe i need to send some to Jennie to see how she reacts to it...
Am worried about the impact of the airplane (temperatures) on the goodies though :-S

Jamaican Chocolate (The Alcoholic Kind) is really good too, according to my parents.

That's usually not a major problem. I've sent chocolate and Coca-cola to Japan and had it arrive safe and sound.
