I made my first banner earlier, and I've got thee banner staffs to disply it from. There's a second one I want to make, which will still leave me one extra banner pole.
I figure when I go to the next gather, I'll grab a secondary cabin (if it's not too cold) and post the banners outside. Since I'll have the extra pole, I'll be able to put up the banners of any of the other Barbarians that stop by too! I'm loving the idea of a bunch of tribal banners on display!
The thought briefly occured to me yesterday that leaving them out at night might invite theft. (In game, anyhow) I dismissed that idea on the grounds that not too many folks are going to want to steal banners from a bunch of Barbarians. They might notice. In fact, they'll probrably come looking for it.
At the last gather, there was only one war banner, but lots of people had thier own heraldry up in the main cabin around thier sleeping areas. I just think it'd look cooler to get a bunch of them lined up on display.
