View Full Version : The rum is not safe

There's no way that box of rum is safe. It's owner is either incredably foolish, or increadably sneaky. Is it rum, or is it a trap? If it's rum, is that part of some greater plot, and in itself a trap? Tune in next time for... The Fate of Rum!

C'mon. A box of booze in Talia's hands is already drunk.
(Bonus if the box comes back, perfectly sealed....with empty bottles.)

My thoughts exactally. Trust no one who would give booze away.

Hmm. You're right. It's the perfect Talia-trap, more irresistable than a shiny red history erasing button!
OH! Bottled tainted water, you know like the stuff Talia touched to turn her arm all tentacley. Just loads of those, seal up the bottles and box and leave it somewhere.

well, the indications in most of the comics so far are that she doesn't hold any liquer well at all.

But reality is relative, She grew up with tall people so draws herself short, to the suprise of some of her fans when she's taller than them.
She has drunk with pirates so her perspective may be skewed.

of course, she did drag around Jack Daniels to burn her last cold/flu out.

She's a lightweight. But she's a fun drunk. :-)
Only bad thing is she's gotten to the point of refusing any beverage I offer her with the excuse of "I have to be on a panel in an hour. I want to be coherent."

Odd, I would think that panels would be better if the panelists were incoherent.
I believe all panels should end with someone throwing something like a crumpled piece of paper or a stuffed animal.
sableagle

Jennie believes all panels should include a cry of "BOOBIES!"
I think I prefer the boobies to the stuffed animal, thrown or not.

Boobies are good too.
Hard to throw, though.

who wants to see a Rock Goddess sick and puking - unable to perform? all i'm asking is enough bottled, distilled spirits to cross the most defended border in NAm.

I wouldnt mind seeing a panel full of drunk artists with some kind of tension between them degrade into some kind of whimpy violence(its just arkward if someone dies) without being broken up and everyone just watches.
It would turn into some sort of massive sketch fight. People would be tossing pencils at each other, trying to stab Gravyboy in the hand with an inking pen, papercuts and erasers flying everywhere as they fight to draw a kitty first.

Yeah, you'll have a special hand pads to protect the drawing hand. Ambidexerios people are fair game.

and 100% mutt
I think that summarizes the reality of most of the Americans on the board. let's face it after a certain number of generations, you'd have to be living in some sort of ethnic enclave to not be a mutt.
i mean look at me,
Mom's family: Irish surname "Kelley" but we know there's german, and english all through there.
and as for the Harris side of the family, we've been here since the early 1700's. after near 300 years, "well the name ain't Scottish or Irish" is all that's left for sure.

I'm about 80% Irish....the rest is Scottish, with a smidge of German and English (though the only thing that's left from the English is my grandmother's maiden name).
Does that make me better than the mutts? *smirk*

Everyone is a little bit of everything. What matters is what you are the most of and what shows. That's usually the culture that sticks with you.
Like me, I am so incredibly obviously mostly Irish. I'm short, got fair skin, freckles, and frizzy curly hair. Got gyped outta the red hair though... both my sisters but not me. And my last name is Murphy. Though... from what I undertand, that's sort of like the "Smith" of Irish names.

What shows the most is my tanned skin from the Spanish blood from my mothers side and from my dad's side who is 1/4 Irish I've got the same build as him (Shorter than the rest of my family and broad shoulders).

predominantly german (my grandfather is 100% german just not born/raised in germany), polish i think on my grandmas side, dutch, and cherokee (1/16th).
I'm not good at any of my heritages really- dont like german food (sausage, kraut, etc), dont like beer-specially the dark ones, not religious or any of that...but i respect nature so i guess i'm a decent native american...
I'd love to be irish though...always wanted red hair, i'm fairish skinned and petite, and greens my fave color!!

England is just a mix of Europe it's been like that for generations, but 90% is a big amount.

Well, England's ex- Angle-land, land of the Angles, and they got turned into Anglo-Saxons by interbreeding with some bunch from near a river that now flows out of the Czech Republic and through part of Germany, and they were replacing the Celts even before that, and then the Danes and Vikings came and some of them never went home, and then the ones who'd moved to Normandy in what is now part of France came over and a LOT of them never went home, and of course there must have been a few Roman soldiers' offspring scattered around a millennium before that, so quite what you call English could be hard to define.
